Mr. M. Bing Wu ( 吳銘彬先生 ) 1970 to 1982

09/26/1970

The first Chinese School in Houston began at 10AM with five classes and 86 students ages 5 to 55. Four classes delivered in Cantonese and one class in Mandarin. Tuition fee was set at $25 per semester.

 

一九七零年九月二十六日上午十點,休士頓第一所中文學校「中華文化學院」正式開始上課,共有學生八十六位,分成五班上課。四班以廣東話授課,一班以國語上課。學生年齡從五歲到五十五歲,學費每學期二十五元。

Official Certificate of Incorporation as Texas non-profit organization issued by Secretary of State of Texas
Martin Dies Jr.

 

一九七零年十月八日,中華文化學院正式在德州立案為非營利團體。


1/17/1972

ICC Board of Trustees approved ICC Chinese School policy and designed School Logo

 

一九七二年一月十五日,董事會通過學校章程草案,並擬定設計校印。


12/17/1974

Officially issued tax exempt non-profit organization status by US Internal Revenue Service.

 

一九七四年十二月十七日,獲得美國國稅局非營利性質之團體許可。


1/22/1977

Director General of ROC at Houston, Deng Keung Cheung, presented Chinese Culture Gold Medal to Dr. Virgil W. Topazio, Vice-president and Dean of Humanities at Rice University, for his continuous support of ICC Chinese School activities.

 

一九七七年一月二十二日,國民政府駐休士頓總領事鄧權昌代表國府教育部頒贈文化金質奬章給萊斯大學人文社會學系主任托貝索博士,感謝他多年來對中華文化學院之協助。


5/13/1978

Principal M. Bing Wu recommended Ms. Tsui as Vice Principal of Chinese School.

 

一九七八年五月十三日,吳銘彬校長推薦崔愛思女士出任副校長。


8/14/1982

ICC Board of Trustees appointed Professor Alexander Wong as 2nd ICC Chinese School Principal.

 

一九八二年八月十四日,董事會聘請王佑民博士出任中華文化學院第二任校長。
